Rita Douglas
RN, BSN | 200-HR RYT
Rita Douglas brings a heartfelt passion for movement and mindfulness to every class she teaches. With 15 years of dedicated yoga practice and 25 years of caring for others as a registered nurse, Rita knows firsthand how life's demands can take a toll — and how powerfully yoga can restore us.
Rita completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training through the prestigious Mount Madonna Institute in California and is proudly registered with Yoga Alliance. Her personal yoga journey began as a way to manage stress and keep her body moving through the seasons of a busy life. What unfolded was something deeper — a profound connection between mind, body and spirit that continues to inspire her every day on and off the mat.
In her classes, Rita creates a warm, welcoming space where students are encouraged to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with themselves. She believes that yoga is for every body, and her teaching reflects that — guiding students to move with intention, breathe with awareness, and discover the quiet strength that lives within them.
Whether you're brand new to yoga or returning to your practice, Rita will meet you exactly where you are and help you find your way home to yourself.
Aset is the feminine aspect of the Holy Trinity within the Kemetic spiritual system. In ancient Egyptian, the name Aset roughly translates to "(she) of the throne"--though she is frequently referred to by her Greek name, Isis. Across both ancient religious contexts, Aset is a primary diety known as the goddess of healing and magic.
At the Aset Center, it is our primary mission to be a source of healing and magic in the lives of our community members. We joyously choose to serve you through classes, events, and programs designed to enlighten, inspire, and connect you to your highest good.
